stopping to smell life

Life is full of colour, and smells and visual stimuli.
I know the above are not roses, I am refering to a saying that many have said, but I attribute to the world of golf, where the task is to get your ball into a little hole in the fewest shots 18 times per round.
I stopped to take this image as I was walking from the hotel to the Royal Photographic Society for a day of assessing images for potential new licentiate members of the society. Life is surrounded by noise and rush, by stopping to smell the ‘roses’ for a moment I forget all of that.
I could go on about smelling the roses, but instead I invite you to listen to the haiku anthem by UB40
