13 Photographers : A selection of their photographs and Haiku about Whatton in the Vale
For two years we met from our homes, connected by the internet, but zooming was not the same as meeting in person.
Ginko 003: The Return marks the day 12 photographers from the Royal Photographic Society East Midlands Region returned to meet at Jubilee Hall in Whatton-in-the-Vale for a day of making, and talking about photography. The photography they made was during walks around the locality. Then, they used the images to inspire writing a haiku for each photograph in the book.
They were also joined for the day by Giles Penfound, who spoke about the photography he was making now he has left the military, where he worked as a photographer. Giles made a photograph of someones’s shoes for the Ginko book.
Ginko 003 has 84 pages and includes photographs and haiku by all the photographers, and shows how the same project can be photographed in many different ways. The images and haiku are beautiful.
