This was the very first Ginko Photo Book, and was a collaboration between Stewart Wall and Robert Herringshaw, who are both associates of the Royal Photographic Society.
The project brief was simple, and required both artists to spend a short period of time photographing what caught their attention as they walked through the churchyards. They would then each select 15 images to write a haiku for each image.
Because this was the first book, a sort of pilot for Ginko Photo books a second edition was printed, which saw each artist add an additional photograph, so making 32 in total, the thinking for which is explained in the guidance page ‘What is a Ginko Photo book’, which will be published soon.
The final book is a beautiful event where two Ginko Artists react to their experiences of the churchyards.
