BOP22 with Jem Southam
I bumped into Jem Southam at BOP22 who could not help but have a peek through Gareth Jarvis’s camera who was at BOP22 making tintype portraits for people.
Later on in the day Jem signed copies of his new book ‘Four Winters’ which is just beautiful
before shutter clicks
see you looking back at me
what are we thinking
Jem Southam – Four Winters

‘Four Winters by Jem Southam has a simple concept and says a lot about that concept. It is so Jem Southam. Click here to flick through the book

Gareth Jarvis working with his camera photographing RPS East Midland member Tom Walton and his wife Jan before processing their unique tintype portait. Tom had travelled down to Bristol for the weekend to learn more about Photobooks. Behind Gareth is Daniel Meadows of the Photobus Project, who was featured on Ginko with Mark Power, and Mike Goldwater who was also featured on Ginko with his book about the London Underground

In a haiku world a ginko is a walk through nature observing
and as I ginko I make images of the things I notice
I then write a haiku in a moment as a response the images I make, that makes me stop to think
Finally I blog here about what the image and haiku make me think about
